Reishi Sport the purest organic Reishi. Look for the Certified Organic Product logo. Products which don’t display this logo cannot be considered organic. Additionally, some micro-ground powders are produced in equipment which reheat the product, causing it to lose its properties.
Our Reishi is ground within a refrigerated system which maintains the powder at the optimum temperature to conserve its properties. Not all products on the market are Reishi, and not all are produced to high standards. Request to see any of our certification.

This book summarizes the current scientific information on this nutriment and its implications for athletes’ performance.
In the first part of the book we explain how the mushroom acts upon the supply of glucose to muscles, oxidative stress, pain tolerance, sleep and the immune system, amongst other factors.
The second part explains how Reishi should be used, teaching the reader how to differentiate between the many products named Reishi on the market, and how to select a high-quality product.
• Improves energy utilization.
• Maintains a high Testosterone/Cortisol ratio.
• Increases tolerance of pain.
• Provides protection from oxidative stress.
• Regulates and strengthens the immune system.
• Improves sleep.
• Regenerates bone tissue.
• Synergistic effects.
How to choose high-quality Reishi

Photomicrograph of Ganoderma lucidum spores. The spores are the mushroom’s structures for reproduction and dispersion. Their chemical composition is very different to the mushroom that produces them (the Reishi) and their properties will therefore also be different. These are not comparable products.

Photomicrograph of pure Reishi (left) and Reishi extract (right). Reishi extracts are very different to pure Reishi. Their chemical composition changes depending on the method of extraction and the extractant used. The properties of the different extracts available on the market therefore vary, and it is not possible to establish a dosage. Additionally, only a limited number of Reishi’s properties are contained in the extracts.
To date, Ganoderma Lucidum has been the subject of more than 3,000 scientific articles, over 800 medical publications and 1,000 use patents. Its wide range of properties include antitumor and antiviral effects, diabetes treatment and protection of many organs, including the heart, liver and brain.
We therefore recommend taking at least the following three points into account when selecting Reishi, in order to ensure its quality.
1.- Make sure that it really is Reishi.
You can find Reishi extract, Reishi mycelium and Reishi spores on the market. These are not the same thing. Genuine Reishi has to be labelled: “Reishi mushroom powder (Ganoderma lucidum)”
2.- Make sure that it is micro-ground.
This process breaks down the mushrooms’ cell walls, allowing our gastric, intestinal and other fluids to penetrate inside the cells during digestion, and therefore to absorb and make use of all of their contents. 1 gram of micro-ground Reishi can be the equivalent of 3 grams of Reishi that is not micro-ground, depending on the coarseness of that Reishi’s grind.
3.- Make sure that it is free of contaminants.
A product’s certified organic logo guarantees that it meets a high standard of cleanliness. However, only some Reishis on the market are free of heavy metals such as lead and cadmium: the principal contaminants found in mushrooms. Contaminated Reishi provides Reishi’s benefits, but also gradually contaminates our bodies over time.
